Comment box is one of the important factor to be consider when creating a blog or if you’ve already had one. It serves as an “intermediary” like a ‘chat feature‘ between you and your visitors by taking messages from them on a particular post and convey it to you in which also you get to reply them back via the the same comment box too.
Without the comment feature on a blog, there will be less communication as visitors won’t be able to express their view on a certain post nor the author won’t be able to reply them.
In view of this, there are also some factors that are needed to be consider about the placement of comment box, some of which are –
- #1: Visibilty – The comment box should be placed in the part of a blog where it can be easily seen. Example is like that of a blogger blog in which its always placed at the footer of a post.
- #2: Easier to Comment – After #1, the next step is to make sure your comment box is easier for blog visitors to comment. Do not make it so complicated as not all your blog readers are geek and thats why blogger comment box is created.
Blogger comment box allow visitors to comment easily using any of their prefered id like “Google Profile, LiveJournal, WordPress, Typepad, AIM, OpenID, Name/URL or Anonymous.
- #3: Free From Error – Did i hear you ask “if its possible for a comment box to have an error? Of course there is. There are so many templates out there that some after installation can alter your blog’s functionality which might includes the “comment box section” and thats why i always recommend to backup your blog’s template before installing a new one.
Furthermore when trying to customizing default template, always be fully aware of what you’re doing so you won’t tamper your template.
Is there something else needed to consider in the placement of comment box, i would love to hear from you.
