Listed above are the pros (though not limited) of a blogger blog. Now to the Cons!
The Cons
  • Deletion of Blog - This is one thing people fear the most about blogger and that made it seems notorious to many. I didn't meant to scare or discourage you with this but the thing is you might wake up one day and find out that your blog is no longer in your dashboard which happens SOMETIMES without Warning! People refer to this as "Google Slap"
  • The truth is this only happens when a blog violates Google's content Policy. Some of which are : -
    • Uploading Malicious Files,
    • Violence Images or Contents,
    • Copying Contents Without Authorization [copyright infringement],
    • And Others.

The Hard Truth - Though some people do says when you migrate from blogger to wordpress, you do not have to worry about your blog being deleted.
The truth is; if you're promoting the type of contents i earlier mentioned (example - copyright infringement), the owner of the content might report you to your host which is sure going to take action against it.

    3. Hello,i must say you have a nice write up here but i may contest what you said about deletion of blogs. i was in a conference with google nigeria agents and he said google doesnt have the right to delete your blog even for plaigiarized content. He said if you have issues like that reporting to google is a waste of time. he adviced to get a lawyer. so i dont think google can delete anyblog

    5. @Kaesy, You *might* be right but lets assume the case was reported to a lawyer, whom do you think will win? The host provider who takes action ( to protect its reputation ) or the one who opens an Illegal Content/plagiarized without linking to the source. Here is a clip from the Blogger Content Policy,

"We believe Blogger increases the availability of information, encourages healthy debate, and makes possible new connections between people.

However, in order to uphold these values, we need to curb abuses that threaten our ability to provide this service and the freedom of expression it encourages."

To understand more of what am talking 'bout, Kindly take a moment to read the Full details of Blogger Content Policy Here. Although not all blogs are deleted as there are several cases of those being retrieved back.

      Thanks for saying your opinion.
